Our Instructor Curriculum

We believe a well-rounded education can set future educators � and the students they guide � up for a lifetime of success. The foundational knowledge gained through our instructor programs is key to making those valuable connections with your students. Our 350-hour programs are broken down into five sections:

  • Arizona state rules and regulations (80 hours)
  • Curriculum development (100 hours)
  • Classroom and clinic oversight (100 hours)
  • Professional development (30 hours)
  • Educator certification (40 hours)

We檙e proud to offer the professional development portion of our program, which focuses on FranklinCovey檚 �7 Habits of Highly Effective People.� Through this section of our curriculum, youl learn how to lead and grow into your new role as a professional beauty instructor.

Essential Skill Building and Arizona Licensure

Arizona state law requires student educators to become licensed after completing their training. Once your program is complete, you will be eligible to take the theory and practical competency exams required to earn your Arizona State Licensure. The curriculum includes coursework targeting the following areas:

  • Classroom management
  • Theory and practical lesson planning
  • Clinic floor management
  • Presentation skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Culture building
  • Online teaching methods

We believe relationships make a difference. Along with learning how to present lesson plans, students learn how to effectively communicate with cosmetology and esthiology students. What is the objective of a financial planning appointment?

The objective of a financial planning appointment is to go over financial aid eligibility with students, including thorough explanations of differences between funding sources. In the event that financial aid does not fully cover tuition, this meeting provides us an opportunity to go over options in how students can cover their remaining balance owed to the school. We want students to leave these meetings feeling confident in knowing all of their options, and knowing that we are a resource for them.

What should I bring to my financial planning appointment?

  • Tax, income and savings information
  • FSA ID (if you do not have one yet, you will need to know your social security number, date of birth and basic contact information)
  • Driver檚 License number
  • Any documentation you may have for additional funding (such as VA eligibility certificate, Voc Rehab documentation, 529 info, Private loan approval or denial)
  • Knowledge of a personal budget and parent budget to determine monthly payments if needed
  • An open mind
